Migration Guide

Migrating from Leapsome to Confirm

Leapsome does a lot — reviews, OKRs, surveys, learning, feedback, compensation. What it doesn't do: surface behavioral data beneath the forms. Confirm is simpler, faster to deploy, and adds the ONA layer Leapsome's breadth can't replace.

Timeline 4–6 weeks
Difficulty Moderate
Data loss None

Being honest about Leapsome vs. Confirm

Leapsome has capabilities Confirm doesn't — specifically its Learning module (built-in LMS) and its European compliance features. If learning management is central to your HR stack, you'll need to pair Confirm with a dedicated LMS, or keep Leapsome for that module specifically.

Where Confirm is categorically stronger: behavioral intelligence. ONA reveals how people actually collaborate. Proactive AI coaching alerts managers to behavioral changes before disengagement surfaces in a survey. Flight risk detection that runs continuously, not quarterly.

The question is whether you need Leapsome's breadth — or whether you need Confirm's depth.

Why teams move from Leapsome to Confirm

🏗️

Configuration overhead

Leapsome is powerful, but it takes significant admin time to configure and maintain. Many teams spend more time managing the platform than using the insights it produces. Confirm is designed for lean HR teams — configured by us, not by you.

📊

Survey-dependent insights

Leapsome's analytics — engagement drivers, manager effectiveness, performance trends — are all built from survey and form data. Everything depends on what people choose to say. ONA captures what they do, not what they say.

🤖

No proactive AI coaching

Leapsome uses AI to streamline review writing and surface insights from its data. It doesn't proactively coach managers in Slack/Teams based on behavioral signals. Managers still have to ask the right questions to get answers.

What transfers from Leapsome

Performance review cycles

All completed reviews, ratings, and written feedback migrate to Confirm's review archive.

OKRs and goal history

Leapsome's OKR tree structure and goal history export and import cleanly.

360 feedback history

Peer, upward, and self-evaluation data all migrate with full attribution.

Engagement survey data

Survey scores and trend history transfer for benchmarking continuity.

Employee profiles

All employee records and org data migrate and sync with your HRIS going forward.

Learning data

Learning completion records export but Confirm doesn't have a built-in LMS. We help you evaluate LMS options that integrate with Confirm if learning management is a requirement.

The Leapsome migration process

Leapsome is a multi-module platform. The migration is more involved than single-tool switches, but we've done it before:

1
Week 1–2

Audit & export

We audit your Leapsome configuration — active modules, custom competencies, review cycle structure, OKR frameworks. We export all data modules. Leapsome's exports are comprehensive but require transformation to Confirm's schema.

2
Weeks 3–4

Confirm setup & import

Configure review cycles, OKR frameworks, and competencies. Connect HRIS. Import historical data with full validation. Enable ONA collection. Set up AI coaching integrations (Slack/Teams).

3
Weeks 5–6

Training & launch

Train HR admins and managers. The shift from Leapsome to Confirm is noticeable — Confirm is significantly simpler to navigate. Most teams see faster manager adoption. Full launch with dedicated support throughout your first review cycle.

Leapsome migration questions

We rely on Leapsome's learning module. What happens?

Confirm doesn't have a built-in LMS. If learning management is important, you have two options: keep Leapsome specifically for learning and use Confirm for performance, or migrate to Confirm and adopt a dedicated LMS (Docebo, Cornerstone, Litmos, etc.). We help you evaluate both during migration planning.

How does Confirm handle Leapsome's competency frameworks?

We recreate your competency frameworks and career ladders in Confirm during setup. If they're embedded in Leapsome's review forms, we export them and map them to Confirm's competency model.

Is Confirm simpler than Leapsome to administer?

Significantly. Leapsome is powerful but module-heavy. HR admins often spend considerable time managing the system. Confirm's configuration is done by our team at setup — your HR admin manages outcomes, not the platform itself.

We're based in Europe. Does Confirm handle GDPR requirements?

Yes. Confirm is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR-compliant. Data residency options are available. We work with your legal and IT teams to ensure compliance requirements are met before go-live.
