This global medical technology company has a presence in nearly every country, with over 70,000 employees. Providing effective compliance training to a workforce that diverse – and that dispersed – is a genuine operational challenge.
By introducing Confirm [formerly Learning Pool], the compliance team enhanced their compliance training, whilest reducing seat time. Thanks to smart customizations and data-led improvements.
Challenge
The company set a clear goal – reduce seat time across its annual compliance programs. Code of Conduct, Global Standards for Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and anti-corruption and anti-bribery training needed to drop from 45–50 minutes to 30 minutes or less.
Solution
Since 2017, the company has run its compliance programme on Confirm’s [formerly Learning Pool] Adaptive Compliance suite. Code of Conduct training goes to all employees annually. Global Standards and anti-corruption courses reach targeted audiences every 1.5 years.
They are customized. Scenarios are adapted to specific functional areas and job responsibilities – ensuring each session is relevant to the risks each team actually faces.
They are data-led. The team reviews training data to identify knowledge gaps and refine course content. When employee feedback flagged that sessions were too long, they acted on it.
Results are shared with managers and regional compliance associates. Closing the loop between training and business outcomes. Leaders receive talk tracks, toolkits, and ethics materials to carry compliance messages across the business. The eight-part “Speak Up, Listen Up” campaign draws on training outcomes, risk assessments, and behavioral data to sustain that message.
The results
Since 2023, the program has saved over 500,000 hours. In the last year alone: 16,469 hours of seat time saved. $500,000 delivered back to the business.
